There is a lot of pressure in small churches to grow. Although growth isn’t a dirty word, it shouldn’t always be our number one concern. Some people love small churches and would love for the church to stay small. The truth is, whether a church is small or large it needs to be faithful to Gods calling. A good friend of mine has a church that does door to door evangelism. Another church I know finds a family in need and helps them long term. Another runs a warming center and ministers to homeless people through the night so they have a warm place to sit in the winter. Whatever God has called your church to be is what you need to be.
